Yume Nikki and its fangames have let me know of lucid dreaming to escape reality. My parents are neglectful workaholics, and ever since I played Yume Nikki and made my own world in my own mind because of it, it's the first time in years I've ever felt truly loved and happy. [Although Yume Nikki generally has the opposite affect when playing it haha]

I love Yume Nikki and all the fanart is really pretty, but I can't help but hate Madotsuki. Most of the fanwork I've seen portrays her as an apathetic and emotionless killer, which just makes me hate her [Especially if it involves her killing Masada or Monoko]. I know she seems like that in game because it has no text, but I really wish that more artists would try to flesh out her character and personality more rather than just "Fuck you *stabby stabby*"
